Little Oaks - our nursery

Little Oaks is our school-based nursery which offers an excellent environment for your child to begin their educational journey. We believe that teacher led provision gives your child the best possible start and introduces them gradually to the world of primary education.

Little Oaks is housed within a separate building to our main infant school in a large, well-equipped area with its own fully contained outdoor space. With a wide range of different areas to enjoy, the children can really let their imaginations go wild. They might be creating masterpieces in our arts and crafts area; making music with their friends; dressing up and pretending to be someone else for the day; starting to learn about phonics and developing their writing skills; having messy play in our outside space or enjoying story time on the carpet - the opportunities are endless!

Our Little Oaks children have the chance to access a large shared outside area which is also used by our younger infant school pupils giving them a little taste of what being part of a school is all about. We also arrange whole school activities when we can to ensure our Little Oaks children feel part of the entire Willow Tree family right from the start of their time with us. It's a great way for them to grow in confidence and meet children from other years across the school. IMG_5529

How do the sessions work?

We can offer a range of term- time options for parents and carers who are looking to take up their 15 and 30 hour entitlement. Full days start at 8.40am and run until 3.15pm. We also offer half days either in the morning or afternoon.

In addition, if you need wrap around care for your child, Kids at Heart run our before and after school provision 'Woodlands Kids Club' which is situated on our main school grounds. They offer a breakfast club, after school care and a school holiday club for children aged from 3 years old. With a wide range of activities from arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports, games and cooking, there's something for every child to enjoy.

If you think Little Oaks might be the right place for your child, the best way to find out about us is to visit us so you can get a proper feel for our nursery setting. We are always pleased to show you around. Just contact the school office on 01423 883551 to make an appointment

We look forward to meeting you and your children soon!
