Our School Day

Please arrive in time for your child to be at school for the start of the school day.

Drop-off and collection

At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged into the playground. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school – we want to have good links with all parents. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely. There is no parking except for 'Blue Badge Holders' on the school site.

Timings for the School Day

At present September 2022 we will be running a soft start in two groups. Children may arrive any time in their 10 minute starting slot and go straight through the allocated door. Please do not arrive at school earlier than your allotted time. The timings are as follows:

Little Oaks: 8.40 - 8.50am and 3.15pm

Ash and Chestnut: 8.50 - 9am and 3.15pm

Spruce and Lime: 8.50 - 9am and 3.15pm

Cherry, Holly and Hornbeam: 8.40-8.50am and 3.05pm

Cedar and Maple: 8.50-9am and 3.15pm

Rowan, Sycamore and Elm: 8.40 - 8.50am and 3.05pm

Hawthorn and Larch: 8.40 - 8.50am and 3.05pm

Acer, Walnut and Silver Birch: 8.50-9am and 3.15pm

The core opening times amount to 31.25 hours in a typical week.
